The Arizona Aviation Historical Group (AAHG): This organization located in Mesa AZ, is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich aviation history of Arizona, particularly focusing on the contributions of the Royal Air Force during World War II.
Missisippi Aviation Heritage Museum : This museum located at Gulfport MS, makes immense contribution to Education and STEM by organizing summer camps for kids. This museum has continued to improve everytime we visit.
American Space Museum: This museum in Titusville Florida makes immense contribution to preserve US space history. Two highlights of this museum are the Stay Curious Broadcast and also the annual Shuttle Fest event, The annual ShuttleFest event allows the general public to see, meet and interact with Astronauts who had flown in space. The technical sessions during this two day event continues to be highly educative to the general public and space enthusiasts. This year, astronauts Eileen Collins, John Grunsfeld, Joe Tanner and Don Thomas participated during the two days.
LBJ Museum : This museum located at San Marcos, TX (one hour from Austin, the site of LBJ presidential library and museum), preserves the history of US President Lyndon B Johnson. Many of his artifacts are in the museum. LBJ attended Southwest State Teachers College which is now Texas State University, located in San Marcos, TX.
United Way of Comal County: This organization located in Texas supports many non-profit organizations. For their fundraising events they invite history giants, such as astronauts, who volunteer their time during the events.
Museum of History: This museum in Claremore, OK, preserves local history. We were impressed with the museum, which had many artifacts including those of Apollo 14 Astronaut Stuart Roosa (who went to high achool in this town) and the local hero Will Rogers.
Donald J and Phyllis E Ross Purdue Scholarship Fund: This orhanization started by Space Shuttle Astronaut Jerry Ross, provides scholarship for students to attend the Purdue University, famous for producing many US Astronauts.
Donora Historic Sociey: This small but amazing museum in Donora, PA preserves local history. This small town is famous for many sports heroes who went to school or played here: Stan Musial, Ken Griffey Sr., Ken Griffey Jr., Dan Towler etc. The museum also highlights the history related to the catastrophic 1948 Donora Smog, which killed many.
Taking Up Space : This organization based in Tucson, AZ is dedicated to increasing Native American representation and decreasing the gender gap in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields.
American Jazz Museum: This museum in Kansas City preserves the history of American jazz music, especially Kansas City jazz music, with exhibits including Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and many others.
